California and Rajasthan Sign Landmark Clean Energy Collaboration Agreement
On June 25, 2026, the California Energy Commission (CEC), the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) signed a Memorandum of Intent (MoI) to advance clean energy collaboration. Facilitated by the India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF), the agreement aims to promote knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and technical cooperation in renewable energy integration, grid modernization, energy storage, transportation electrification, and grid reliability. The virtual signing ceremony included Hon'ble Energy Minister of Rajasthan Heeralal Nagar, CEC Vice Chair Siva Gunda, CPUC President John Reynolds, and RERC Member Hemant Kumar Jain. Both sides emphasized learning from each other's experiences to accelerate the clean energy transition while ensuring reliable and affordable electricity systems.
