BTS Brings 'Swimside' Interactive Event to São Paulo Celebrating Album Release
South Korean K-pop group BTS is launching 'Swimside,' a free interactive event in São Paulo, Brazil, to celebrate their return from military hiatus and the release of their new album, 'Arirang.' Scheduled for May 23-24 at the Visualfarm Gymnasium, the experience features Instagrammable scenarios, interactive installations, and music from the septet. The event is organized in partnership with Spotify, aiming to immerse fans, known as Armys, in the album's universe, which emphasizes Korean cultural roots. While general admission is free, premium Spotify subscribers gain access to an exclusive lounge with complimentary drinks and gifts. Tickets must be reserved via Sympla in two batches released on May 15 and 18 through Spotify Brasil’s social media channels. Attendees over 16 are allocated one-hour time slots and must present digital tickets and photo ID. This initiative highlights Brazil's significant engagement with K-pop, as the country leads global streams of the genre, with consumption growing 213% between 2020 and 2025. The event follows similar activations in New York and Seoul, reinforcing the group's global comeback strategy after a four-year break.
