Bild: Karl Expected to Return on August 15; Bayern More Cautious About Gnabry's Situation
According to German newspaper Bild, Bayern Munich's young winger Lennart Karl (18) is expected to return to full team training during the Tegernsee camp (July 27-30) and make his official comeback in the Telekom Cup match against RB Leipzig on August 15. Karl suffered a tear in the front muscle bundle of his left thigh during World Cup preparation in Chicago, ending his tournament. This is his second muscle injury in two months, so his return will be carefully managed. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry (31) has been sidelined for 13 weeks with a torn right adductor muscle. His recovery is progressing faster than Karl's, but Bayern is being very cautious, especially with sharp turning movements.
