AVPN aims to mobilise more Asian donors for philanthropy to fill US$26 trillion financing gap
The Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) has announced two new membership tiers, Discovery and Vantage, as part of its strategy to mobilize more Asian donors for philanthropy. The non-profit aims to address a US$26 trillion financing gap in the region. AVPN CEO Naina Subberwal Batra stated that Asia does not have a capital shortage but rather a coordination challenge. The initiative seeks to expand the donor base and increase philanthropic capital flows across Asia, leveraging the new membership structures to engage a wider range of contributors.
