Amanda Serrano to Defend World Titles Against Lucrecia Manzur in Landmark TikTok Broadcast
Amanda Serrano will defend her WBA and WBO featherweight world titles against Argentina's Lucrecia Manzur on August 21 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California. The fight, promoted by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), marks the first-ever championship boxing event broadcast live on TikTok. It will also be the first unified women's world championship contested over 12 two-minute rounds. Serrano, aiming to break the all-time women's knockout record, recently stopped Cheyenne Hanson in the second round for her 32nd professional KO. Manzur, the WBO's No. 2 contender, holds a 14-4 record with seven knockouts. The card also includes bouts featuring US Olympian Jahmal Harvey and Brazil's Jully Poca. MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian highlighted the partnership with TikTok as a way to reach Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
