Amanda Serrano to defend world titles on Aug 21 in landmark TikTok broadcast

Amanda Serrano will put her world titles on the line against Lucrecia Manzur in California on August 21 in a landmark fight being shown on TikTok.

The Puerto Rican star defends her WBA and WBO featherweight world titles against Argentine contender Manzur in the first-ever unified women's world championship contested over 12 two-minute rounds, promoted by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

After a barnstorming second-round stoppage victory over Cheyenne Hanson at the end of May — her 32nd professional KO — Serrano returns to the ring aiming to break the all-time women's knockout record.

The fight, staged at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, will also be the first championship boxing event broadcast live on TikTok.

Serrano: 'A Night to Remember'

"I've dedicated my career to creating opportunities for women's boxing and bringing our sport to the biggest stages possible, so to headline the first-ever championship boxing event on TikTok is incredibly meaningful," said Serrano.

Manzur is the WBO's No. 2 contender with a 14-4 career record featuring seven knockouts.
