According to a statement from the Portuguese Basketball Federation (FPB):
"A clinical assessment was carried out on the player and, in consultation with the FC Porto medical department, the athlete, and the national team coach, it is considered advisable for Gonçalo Delgado not to participate in this period of National Team games, so that his recovery can proceed under the best conditions."
