Shenlong Technology and Momenta sign global strategic partnership for intelligent driving

Shanghai, September 24 — Shenlong Technology and Momenta officially signed a global strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai. The two parties will engage in long-term, in-depth collaboration focused on user experience, driver assistance, and high-level autonomous driving.

Building on the advanced vehicle capabilities of shareholders Dongfeng Motor and Stellantis Group, the partnership will integrate technologies such as intelligent cockpits and electronic/electrical architectures. It will also combine the chassis tuning expertise of the Peugeot, Citroën, and Stellantis Group's Jeep® brands — all operated by Shenlong Technology — to jointly develop new energy products that deliver "aesthetic pleasure, driving pleasure, and peace of mind."

The agreement was signed by Momenta SVP Sun Gang, along with Cheng Jun, Deputy Director of Dongfeng Motor's R&D General Institute and Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy General Manager, and CTO of Shenlong Automobile. The signing was witnessed by Shenlong Technology General Manager Lv Haitao, Momenta CEO Cao Xudong, and other senior executives from both sides.

World Model and AI-Driven Decision Making

Momenta's self-developed latest world model integrates pre-training, closed-loop simulation, reinforcement learning, and end-to-end intelligent driving assistance algorithms. This enables the system to move from "seeing the road" to "understanding the physical world, predicting causal changes, and making autonomous game-theoretic decisions."

Building on this foundation, the cooperation between Shenlong Technology and Momenta will incorporate AI control commands, generating high-level autonomous driving decisions directly from multimodal inputs to create a personalized AI Agent for users. Compared to traditional "rule-based" driver assistance models, this new approach can better understand scenarios, predict changes, and make dynamic decisions — bringing assisted driving closer to the thinking patterns of experienced drivers.

Precision Chassis Control

At the chassis control level, Shenlong Technology and Momenta will jointly develop wheel-level fine control. By connecting BMC with IBC, the braking pressure of all four wheels can be independently and precisely adjusted:

• On low-adhesion surfaces such as ice and snow, the system can differentially distribute braking force to ensure stable AEB performance.
• Precise braking on individual wheels enables tighter turning radii and improves parking trajectory accuracy.
• A redundant braking architecture provides comprehensive safety backup.

This finer level of control makes intelligent driving assistance not only smarter but also more stable and safer. A century of French chassis tuning has accumulated driving dynamics that cannot be replicated by data alone: precise steering, linear braking, and cornering grip.

Jeep® Off-Road Intelligence

Over 85 years, the Jeep® brand has built deep expertise in off-road chassis, four-wheel-drive systems, and all-terrain calibration. Combined with Momenta's cutting-edge R&D capabilities, intelligent driving assistance will gain precise control on unpaved roads and complex terrain, delivering a truly new off-road intelligent driving experience.

Multi-Style Driving Adaptation

Momenta's intelligent driving assistance solution supports multi-driving-style matching and optimization. In close collaboration with Shenlong Technology, the system will undergo specialized adaptation and refinement in execution areas such as steering and braking, preserving the unique driving feel of French models even in assisted driving mode.

Global Expansion and Future Roadmap

Looking ahead, the two parties will pursue global strategic cooperation, covering mass-produced high-level intelligent driving assistance solutions and the R&D and deployment of L3 autonomous driving technologies. Several new energy vehicle models from Shenlong Technology will be equipped with Momenta's leading world model and will receive continuous iterative updates.

New products are planned for phased launch starting in 2027, covering multiple powertrain types including pure electric and plug-in hybrid, and spanning diverse scenarios such as off-road, urban commuting, and family travel.
