Anhui Construction Engineering Chairman Yang Shanbin Resigns All Posts After Being Investigated for Serious Violations

September 27 — Anhui Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (600502.SH) announced that the company's board of directors has received a written resignation report from Yang Shanbin. Citing personal reasons, Yang applied to resign from his positions as Chairman of the Board, Director, Chairman of the Board's Strategic Committee, member of the Audit Committee, and member of the Nomination Committee. Following his resignation, Yang will no longer hold any position within the company.

On September 24, the company held the 21st meeting of its Ninth Board of Directors, during which Director Gong Jianyong was elected Vice Chairman and designated to perform the duties of Chairman on an interim basis. The acting period will take effect from the date of board approval until a new Chairman is elected in accordance with company procedures.

According to the announcement, Yang Shanbin's resignation took effect on September 23, 2026, with his original term set to expire on September 20, 2027. His resignation became effective upon delivery to the board. Anhui Construction Engineering stated that Yang's resignation does not reduce the number of board members below the statutory minimum, nor does it affect the normal operation of the board or the company. Yang has no outstanding public commitments (including shareholding increase commitments) remaining unfulfilled. The company will promptly complete the by-election of relevant board committee members and proceed with the election of a new Chairman in accordance with legal procedures.

Prior to his resignation, Yang Shanbin had been placed under investigation. On September 18, Anhui Construction Engineering announced that, according to information released that day by relevant disciplinary inspection and supervision authorities, Yang Shanbin, the company's Chairman and Party Secretary, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.

Yang's investigation came less than 40 days after the company's Deputy General Manager, He Hongchun, was placed under compulsory detention. On August 11, Anhui Construction Engineering announced that it had received a notice from the relevant supervisory commission regarding He Hongchun's detention. The company's board also received He's written resignation report. Citing personal reasons, He applied to resign from his position as Deputy General Manager. Following his resignation, He no longer holds any position within the company.
