World's first embodied intelligence theme park opens in Guangdong's Hengqin

September 24 — Chimelong Group, in partnership with Zhiyuan Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., officially opened the world's first embodied intelligence theme park.

The park is built on the foundation of the original Hengqin Chimelong Spaceship Park, with the addition of multiple globally pioneering performances. This marks a new stage for China's embodied intelligence industry, moving into large-scale, routine, and commercial real-world applications.

Nearly 1,000 embodied intelligent robots are deployed across the entire park, covering six major scenarios: performances, AI science education, smart guided tours, study tours, intelligent companion services, and hotel reception. This creates a fully integrated human-robot interactive world. The park has achieved three global firsts:

• The world's first routine deployment of embodied intelligence in a cultural tourism scenic area
• The world's first one-stop management platform for operation and maintenance of an embodied intelligence cultural tourism scenic area
• The world's first large-scale 5G IA embodied intelligence innovative application in a cultural tourism setting

At the opening ceremony, several world-class premieres captivated the audience:

• Zhiyuan's 20,000th embodied intelligent robot descended from the sky
• The world's largest routine human-robot co-performance opening show debuted
• Champion robots from various events of the World Humanoid Robot Sports Meet gathered at the park
• Three top-tier bionic humanoid robots made their global public debut

The Water Light Theater launched a robot stage play, integrating water dance, sound and light effects, narrative performance, and humanoid robots into a groundbreaking technological art show.

During the opening, the Chimelong-Zhiyuan Embodied Intelligence Research Institute for the Cultural Tourism Industry was officially inaugurated. Leveraging Chimelong's real-world advantages of multi-park, all-weather, high-traffic operations, the institute will focus on humanoid robot scenario adaptation, algorithm iteration, and commercial validation. It aims to close the full industrial loop from IP creation and content direction to scene operation and underlying R&D, accelerating cost reduction and efficiency improvement for domestic robots, and establishing a commercial demonstration model for humanoid robots in the cultural tourism and consumer sectors.

Chimelong Group founder and chairman Su Zhigang stated that the launch of the world's first embodied intelligence theme park represents a key step for Chimelong in embracing new productive forces and advancing toward technology-driven cultural tourism. The group plans to build Hengqin Chimelong into a global innovation hub for technology-based cultural tourism.
