Beijing – Tsinghua University-affiliated quantum AI startup Qingyi Yigou (ClearSight Computing) has completed an A+ round of financing, with investors including Jingkai Capital, Anhui Hi-Tech Investment, Daode Investment, Lishi Investment, Zhongzi Fund, Xuhui Capital, Senlan Group, and the founder of Jingdong Group, among others.
Combined with its previous A round, the company has raised nearly 100 million yuan in total over the past three months.
From Heterogeneous Computing to Quantum-Inspired AI
Founded in 2021 by Yu Teng, a Tsinghua University computer science alumnus, the company initially focused on AI systems based on classical heterogeneous computing. It is now pivoting toward the frontier of quantum-inspired next-generation AI models, with products entering the AI and quantum computing industry chain.
While general-purpose quantum computers are still under development, companies cannot afford to wait for full hardware maturity before seeking products. ClearSight Computing has chosen to enable quantum-inspired high-dimensional intelligence to perform large-scale inference on existing GPU hardware. By restructuring models from parameters to architecture, the company addresses industry pain points and significantly optimizes token usage efficiency.
Given the immense demand for computing power in the era of general artificial intelligence, this approach offers substantial room for growth. The market has long awaited models with higher knowledge density and energy efficiency.
Early Focus on Heterogeneous Computing
ClearSight Computing was established in 2021. The team initially focused on developing parallel computing system software to address AI system construction and performance issues in heterogeneous processor environments. It soon began promoting prototype products for its "program factory" and collaborating with upstream and downstream enterprises. In 2022, the company completed three consecutive financing rounds within six months.
As is well known, bringing quantum AI models into real computing environments requires seamless integration of algorithms, chip adaptation, and system operation. This is why, when the team shifted its R&D focus to quantum AI in 2025, it chose Shanghai as its base—a city that brings together quantum computing hardware, algorithms, AI computing power, and application scenarios, offering faster access to equipment and market demand.
RiverONE: A Quantum-Inspired Vision-Language Model
This year, ClearSight Computing officially released RiverONE, a quantum-inspired vision-language model. According to the company, the model uses simulated quantum computing to generate parameters during the construction phase. Once trained, the model runs inference on classical GPUs without requiring real-time quantum computer involvement. This allows the team to develop, deploy, and iterate products using existing hardware.
According to third-party test reports, in the specific task of quantum calibration chart understanding, RiverONE achieved at least 95% of the performance of Nvidia's Ising Calibration 1 model, while using only 1.9 billion parameters—less than one-tenth of the comparison model. This provides a lighter model solution for specialized scenarios.
Industry Integration and Partnerships
ClearSight Computing's products have gradually been integrated into the computing power industry chain and validated in real-world scenarios.
As early as 2023, the company formally partnered with global computing giant AMD, becoming an AI system supplier. In August of this year, Liberation Daily reported that ClearSight Computing had made phased progress in cooperation with upstream quantum computing and AI computing power infrastructure companies.
Biren Technology disclosed that the two parties conducted adaptation tests on its GPU products for mainstream quantum computing frameworks including Cirq, PennyLane, and Qiskit. Within the test scope, 48-hour stability tests showed no abnormal interruptions affecting conclusions. For quantum software requiring long-term R&D, the ability to run continuously across different frameworks and domestic hardware is fundamental to expanding application scope.
Similarly, Muxi Technology's Xiyun C-series GPUs, together with ClearSight Computing, completed adaptation of the Ising quantum calibration multimodal model on the vLLM inference framework and passed the international calibration benchmark QCalEval test. Taichu Electronics, in collaboration with Loongson's pure domestic computing base, adapted ClearSight Computing's full suite of quantum-inspired models and operators on Day 0. Qianhe Yibang, a chip company incubated by NetEase for gaming scenarios, also signed a cooperation agreement with ClearSight Computing to adopt the latter's game acceleration and adaptation support services.
Opening the Imagination for the Quantum AI Track
Can quantum-inspired artificial intelligence form a company of scale?
The answer is becoming clearer. With the popularization and implementation of AI technology, global computing power remains in short supply. Models with higher knowledge density and energy efficiency will have more market opportunities—this is precisely the space for quantum computing to participate.
Spain's Multiverse Computing provides a case in point. Starting from quantum software, the company applies tensor network methods to AI model compression, launching CompactifAI, which enables large models to occupy less storage and computing resources. Its technical papers demonstrate model compression experiments and record performance trade-offs across different tasks.
Multiverse's commercial path has since broadened: by offering compressed models and APIs, it explores offline operation on devices such as mobile phones, and promotes adaptation with hardware manufacturers and enterprise customers. In 2025, the company announced a €189 million Series B financing round; in 2026, it announced a target fundraising plan of up to €500 million for Series C.
Currently, Japan's Marubeni Corporation has signed a memorandum with Multiverse to study the promotion of its compression technology in the Japanese market. It can be said that computational methods derived from quantum science can find entry points in the existing AI market. Customers care about whether models can run on their own devices, reduce costs, and maintain required performance.
If Multiverse primarily compresses existing models for broad enterprise deployment needs, ClearSight Computing focuses more on using simulated quantum computing and quantum-inspired algorithms to participate in the comprehensive restructuring of models—from parameters to architecture. It advances a future-oriented technological exploration into stages including model release, private deployment delivery, and cloud service internal testing.
Ultimately, the market will focus on product delivery: Can quantum-inspired large models represented by RiverONE maintain performance on more real-world data? Can adaptation experience be consolidated into replicable software capabilities? Can representative cloud-edge-device cases generate sustained orders?
Looking further ahead, as the quantum computing industry chain gradually takes shape, ClearSight Computing will also open up downstream opportunities for China's quantum computing industry, carving out new paths to serve the explosive incremental market of general artificial intelligence.
As Xuhui Capital stated, the quantum AI track holds enormous industrial imagination. The team led by Dr. Yu Teng has chosen to enable quantum-inspired high-dimensional intelligence to perform large-scale inference on existing GPU computing power. By achieving breakthroughs in model restructuring from parameters to architecture and industrial implementation, the company significantly optimizes token usage efficiency and solves industry pain points.
"Xuhui Capital continues to invest in the frontier intersection of quantum and AI. We will leverage the advantages of state-owned capital innovation platforms to connect local computing power, scenarios, and industry partner resources in Xuhui, and continue to empower and accompany invested companies. We look forward to ClearSight Computing seizing opportunities to open downstream application tracks for China's quantum computing industry and build a benchmark for China's quantum-inspired AI in the general AI incremental market."
Anhui Hi-Tech Investment similarly believes that ClearSight Computing is deeply engaged in the frontier track of quantum and AI integration innovation, focusing on core quantum AI technology self-development and engineering implementation, with rare original technical barriers and differentiated development paths.
"Quantum AI is currently a core future track for breaking through traditional intelligent computing power bottlenecks and cultivating new productive forces. Anhui Hi-Tech Investment adheres to the philosophy of investing early and in hard technology. We are optimistic about ClearSight Computing's technical accumulation and growth potential, and will leverage the advantages of state-owned capital platforms to continuously empower the company's technology iteration and scenario implementation, helping Anhui seize the high ground of quantum intelligent industry development."
The window for industrialization has opened, and the imagination space for China's AI + quantum computing is gradually unfolding.
