According to a report from the National Pipeline Network Group (国家管网集团) on September 23, China's first island-ring natural gas pipeline network, the Hainan Pipeline Network, has cumulatively transmitted over 35 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The cumulative transmission of 35 billion cubic meters of clean natural gas is equivalent to replacing approximately 46.6 million tons of coal, reducing dust emissions by over 25.4 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions by over 51.2 million tons, providing strong support for the green and low-carbon development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The Hainan island-ring pipeline network spans a total length of 899 kilometers, consisting of four main trunk lines:
- Sanya–Dongfang
- Dongfang–Yangpu–Haikou
- Haikou–Wenchang
- Wenchang–Qionghai–Sanya
The network includes 14 process stations and 42 valve chambers, passing through 14 cities and counties including Haikou, Sanya, Danzhou, Dongfang, Wenchang, and Qionghai. It benefits over 10 million residents and primarily supplies gas to gas-fired power plants, industrial users, and urban gas customers.
As of now, the Hainan island-ring pipeline network has delivered more than 350 billion cubic meters of clean natural gas, equivalent to replacing approximately 46.6 million tons of coal. This has resulted in a reduction of over 25.4 million tons of dust emissions and more than 51.2 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, injecting strong momentum into the green and low-carbon development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
