On September 21, Swire Properties announced that the first phase of Xi'an Taikoo Li has achieved a structural topping-out, marking a key milestone for the landmark project in the historic city. The project, a joint venture between Swire Properties and Xi'an Chenghuan Cultural Investment Development Co., Ltd., a state-owned enterprise under the Qujiang New District Management Committee, is expected to complete its overall structural topping-out by early 2027. Partial completion and phased handover are scheduled for late next year, with subsequent openings. Upon completion, Xi'an Taikoo Li will feature the low-density, open-plan layout characteristic of the Taikoo Li series, house nearly 500 retail brands, and include a 'The House Collective' branded hotel. It will be Swire Properties' largest Taikoo Li project in mainland China, with a total floor area of 269,056 square meters. Swire Properties CEO Tim Blackburn stated that the milestone reflects the company's confidence in Xi'an's development prospects, as the project is a key part of Swire Properties' HK$50 billion investment plan in mainland China.
