Anthropic has finalized a $35 billion cloud computing deal with Nvidia-backed Lambda, securing GPU cloud capacity in Texas. Under the arrangement, Lambda will rent the Texas capacity to Anthropic, while infrastructure company Hut 8 builds the Nueces County facility. Nvidia holds the underlying lease, allowing Lambda to provide Nvidia GPU cloud capacity without procuring data-center space itself. Hut 8's SEC filings independently confirm that its Beacon Point campus has 704MW of contracted IT capacity under two 15-year leases worth $19.6 billion during their base terms. The deal highlights growing demand for AI compute infrastructure and Nvidia's strategic role in enabling cloud services for leading AI firms.
