Record: Leao chooses to join Aston Villa, total transfer fee around €50m plus €6.5m annual salary

According to Portuguese media outlet Record, AC Milan forward Rafael Leao will leave the club to join Premier League side Aston Villa. Villa proposed a loan deal with a loan fee close to 8 million euros and a mandatory buyout clause, bringing the total value near the 50 million euros demanded by Milan's owner Cardinale. Villa offered Leao an annual salary of 6.5 million euros, which could still increase. Despite a strong push from Galatasaray, who offered Milan 45 million euros and a salary of 12 million euros per year for the player, Villa's late-night push convinced Leao. Leao will not participate in Milan's match against Venezia at San Siro tomorrow.
