SportsBarcelona has agreed a €2 million plus €500,000 add-ons transfer with Fenerbahce for Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, who arrived in Barcelona for a medical and is set to sign a contract until 2030. Barcelona's initial plan was to loan Livakovic to Dinamo Zagreb for one season, with him returning in 2027 after Wojciech Szczesny's retirement. However, Dinamo Zagreb has changed its stance, now demanding a two-season loan to permanently resolve their goalkeeping position. This directly conflicts with Barcelona's strategy, which envisions Joan Garcia as starting goalkeeper and Livakovic as backup from the 2027/28 season. A two-year loan would delay Livakovic's return until 2028, forcing Barcelona to alter its plans. The deal is currently stalled, and Barcelona must decide whether to loan Livakovic to another club or keep him in the squad for this season.
