FinanceWalmart reported that customers using its AI assistant Sparky spend 40% more per order than non-users, and usage is up 70% year-over-year. CEO John Furner highlighted Sparky's role in personalizing shopping, such as generating meal plans and avoiding duplicate purchases, building customer trust. He stated AI will improve nearly every part of Walmart's business, including advertising through 'Sponsored Prompt' ads and a partnership with OpenAI. The company beat Q2 earnings estimates (81 cents per share vs. 74 cents expected) and revenue ($187.9B vs. $186.8B), but issued a weaker-than-expected Q3 forecast.
