SportsAccording to The Athletic's David Ornstein, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain held crucial talks on August 25 regarding a potential transfer for 23-year-old winger Bradley Barcola. Barcola has clearly expressed his desire to join Liverpool, who view him as the long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, set to leave after the 2025-26 season. PSG values Barcola at around £145 million, but Liverpool hopes to secure the deal for approximately £100 million, citing the player's contract situation (two years remaining) and his refusal to sign a new deal. Barcola made 49 appearances for PSG last season, scoring 13 goals and providing 7 assists, and played a key role in their Ligue 1 and Champions League titles. He also featured for France in the 2026 World Cup, scoring three goals in eight matches.
