SportsLiverpool's second bid of £60 million for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh has been rejected, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein. Brighton is holding out for a fee close to £70 million. The 22-year-old is currently recovering from surgery on a right leg injury sustained in a friendly against Roma and will be sidelined for two to three months. Minteh joined Brighton from Newcastle in 2024, contributing 3 goals and 4 assists in 36 appearances last season. Liverpool, seeking to strengthen their attack following Mohamed Salah's departure, have already signed Victor Muñoz from Osasuna. They have also been linked with PSG's Bradley Barcola, but a significant valuation gap remains. Liverpool finished fifth in the Premier League last season and begin their 2026-27 campaign at Newcastle United.
