FinanceMunich-based healthcare logistics provider Life Couriers has been acquired by private equity firm JLL Partners. Concurrently, Edward DeMartini, former CEO of Kuehne+Nagel's Quick Group, has been appointed as the new CEO, succeeding Stefan Glebke. The deal reflects the booming healthcare logistics market, driven by an aging population, GLP-1 weight loss drugs, vaccines, and biologics requiring temperature-controlled transport. The market is projected to double from $246 billion in 2024 to $503 billion by 2034. Life Couriers operates six specialized service lines including radiopharmaceuticals and stem cell logistics across the US, Europe, Central America, and Asia. JLL plans to use its financial resources and healthcare expertise to expand Life Couriers' operations and geographic reach.
