PoliticsThe Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized handwritten notes belonging to T. Veena, daughter of Kerala opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan, detailing transfers of ₹85 lakh to Dubai. The notes contain names of persons, amounts handled, and expenditures. The documents were recovered during searches on May 27, 2026, at premises linked to Veena and Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) promoters. The ED alleges Veena received money from CMRL without providing services, and that she handled amounts beyond her known income sources. The investigation follows SFIO findings of ₹182 crore in fictitious expenses by CMRL over 15 years, including ₹2.78 crore paid to Veena's defunct company Exalogic Solutions. Kerala's Electricity Minister Sunny Joseph called the evidence 'extremely serious' and demanded a response from the CPI(M).
