FinanceMunich-based healthcare logistics provider Life Couriers has been acquired by private equity firm JLL Partners, with Edward DeMartini appointed as the new CEO. DeMartini, formerly CEO of Kuehne+Nagel's Quick Group, brings extensive experience in pharma, biotech, and life sciences logistics. The deal reflects the booming healthcare logistics market, driven by demand for temperature-controlled transport of GLP-1 drugs, vaccines, biologics, and gene therapies. The market is projected to double from $246 billion in 2024 to $503 billion by 2034. Life Couriers operates six specialized service lines including radiopharmaceuticals and stem cell transport across the US, Europe, Central America, and Asia. The company plans to use JLL's financial resources to expand operations and geographic reach. JLL acquired Life Couriers from Auctus Capital Partners.
