FinanceRheinmetall will deliver an additional 149 mobile medical stations to the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) under a contract worth over 500 million euros, bringing the total to 165 systems valued at over 600 million euros. The order, placed under a framework contract awarded in December 2024, is the largest ever received by Rheinmetall Project Solutions GmbH. Production is set to begin in the first quarter of 2027. The highly mobile container systems, part of the Modular Medical Facilities (MSE) program, are designed to provide rapid emergency medical care for troops in the field, incorporating lessons from the Ukraine war. Each station consists of two containers with generators and air conditioning, capable of autonomous operation for several days. The system replaces a complex tent solution and can be set up by four soldiers in difficult terrain.
