ConflictRheinmetall will deliver an additional 149 mobile rescue stations to the German Bundeswehr under a contract worth over 500 million euros, bringing the total order to 165 systems valued at over 600 million euros. The order, placed in July 2026, is a call-off from a framework contract awarded in December 2024. The highly mobile container-based medical stations are designed to provide rapid emergency care for troops in the field, incorporating lessons from the Ukraine war. Each station consists of two containers with generators and air conditioning, capable of autonomous operation for several days. Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027. The system replaces a complex tent solution with a modular container design for better transport and deployment in difficult terrain.
