SportsAccording to German outlet Bild, Werder Bremen and West Ham United have reached an agreement for the loan transfer of 33-year-old German striker Niclas Füllkrug back to Bremen. The deal is structured as a one-year loan with no purchase option. Füllkrug, who accepted a significant pay cut to return, is expected to arrive in Bremen on Tuesday morning for a medical examination before signing the contract. The German international, with 24 caps and 14 goals for the national team, previously developed at Bremen, helping them gain promotion and winning the Bundesliga Golden Boot. After a difficult period at West Ham (relegated from the Premier League) and a loan at AC Milan, where he made 46 appearances scoring only 4 goals while battling injuries, Füllkrug hopes to regain form at his familiar club. His arrival is expected to boost morale after a lackluster preseason for Bremen.
