Stampede at Bihar's Ashok Dham temple kills 7, injures 12

On August 17, 2026, a stampede at Ashok Dham temple in Lakhisarai, Bihar, killed seven devotees and injured 12 others. The incident occurred at 6:40 a.m. during a heavy rush of devotees offering water to Lord Shiva in the holy month of Shravan.
