FinanceHII's Mission Technologies division has been awarded a $2.2 billion task order by the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) to support the STINGRAI program, which aims to enhance intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. The contract, announced on August 11, covers Surveillance, Tracking, Intelligence, Network Services, Global Reconnaissance, Analysis, and Interceptions. HII will coordinate a team to deliver advanced technologies and multi-domain platforms to help SOUTHCOM detect, monitor, and respond to illicit activities such as drug trafficking and transnational crime. The award, made under the GSA's ASTRO IDIQ contract, includes one base year with options for six additional years. HII executives emphasized the program's role in improving visibility and decision-making to address evolving regional threats.
