FinanceKroger has appointed Nate Faust as its new chief e-commerce officer, effective September 1, 2026, as the grocery chain prioritizes digital commerce under new CEO Greg Foran. Faust brings over 20 years of e-commerce experience, having co-founded Jet.com (acquired by Walmart in 2016), served as Walmart's senior vice president of U.S. e-commerce supply chain, and founded Olive. He is credited with launching Jet's innovative Smart Cart model and transforming Walmart's customer delivery experience. Foran, who worked with Faust at Walmart, stated that Faust built businesses that redefined customer expectations for e-commerce. E-commerce logistics expert Brittain Ladd suggested Faust will focus on leveraging partnerships with AI logistics platform Nash to replace third-party delivery services, working with autonomous vehicle orchestrator Autolane, turning retail media into a delivery subsidy engine, improving the Ocado relationship, and testing in-store fulfillment robots. Kroger aims to improve the online shopping experience and grow its digital business.
