TechLockheed Martin has successfully conducted the first integrated live-fire test of its Kodiak containerized launcher at Yakima Training Centre in Washington. The test used a Reduced-Range Practice Rocket (RRPR) and took place less than six months after initial trials. The Kodiak launcher is designed for versatility across air, land, and sea platforms, with each container capable of holding up to 12 GMLRS rockets. The modular design allows rapid deployment and adjustable firepower without increasing launcher size. Lockheed Martin stated the test confirms operational capability and reflects ongoing work to provide adaptable, cost-efficient launching systems for defense agencies. The company's vice president highlighted the speed and agility demonstrated by completing the live-fire launch in under six months.
