TechRheinmetall announced the successful launch of its FV-014 loitering munition system from the Containerized Missile Launcher (CML) during a customer demonstration at the German Aerospace Center's National Test Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems. The FV-014, an in-house development, was launched from a Rheinmetall HX truck both stationary and while driving, completing various simulated mission profiles. Designed for highly mobile operations, the system combines reconnaissance, target identification, and precision effects with an operational range of up to 100 kilometers and a flight duration of up to 70 minutes. It features modern sensors, network capability, and high GNSS interference robustness. The launch container can hold up to 18 FV-014 units. The system weighs about 22 kg with a 6 kg payload, including an HEDP warhead capable of penetrating over 60 cm of armor steel. Control is via a ground station with a human-in-the-loop concept, allowing mission abort if needed.
