FinanceHII's Mission Technologies division has been awarded a $2.2 billion task order by the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) to support the STINGRAI program, which aims to enhance intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. The contract, announced on August 11, covers one base year with options for six additional years, and was awarded under the GSA's ASTRO IDIQ contract. HII will coordinate a team to deliver advanced technologies and multi-domain platforms to detect, monitor, and respond to illicit activities such as drug trafficking and transnational crime. The program is intended to improve operational readiness and decision-making for U.S. national security objectives in the region.
