FinanceHome Depot (NYSE:HD) announced that chair, president and CEO Ted Decker is taking a temporary medical leave of absence, expected to return within a few months. The board appointed two senior executives to jointly manage CEO duties: Ann-Marie Campbell will oversee day-to-day operations, and CFO Richard McPhail will handle financial management and Pro subsidiaries. Greg Brenneman, independent lead director, will serve as board chair during Decker's absence. Home Depot operates 2,361 retail stores and over 1,280 SRS locations across North America, employing more than 470,000 associates. The company's shares are components of the Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500, making the leadership change relevant to a broad range of U.S. equity investors.
