FinanceIntel announced plans to offer $15 billion in new stock, its first public equity offering since 1971, to fund AI applications, purpose-built silicon, and foundry expansion. The capital raise comes as Intel raises its 2026 capital expenditure estimates to over $20 billion to meet rising AI demand. The company has begun high-volume manufacturing of processors using ASML's high-NA EUV lithography and invested €5 billion to expand Xeon 6 manufacturing in Europe. Intel's Q2 Data Center and AI segment revenue grew 59% year-over-year to $6.3 billion, with over 130 customers adopting or testing its edge AI processors. Intel stock is up 170.79% year-to-date, ranking 5th among S&P 500 components.
