FinanceHII's Mission Technologies division has been awarded a $2.2 billion task order by the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) to support the Surveillance, Tracking, Intelligence, Network Services, Global Reconnaissance, Analysis, and Interceptions (STINGRAI) initiative. Announced on August 11, the contract aims to enhance intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities to detect, monitor, and respond to illicit activities such as drug trafficking and transnational crime in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. HII will coordinate a team to deliver advanced technologies and multi-domain platforms to SOUTHCOM and partner nations. The award, made under the GSA ASTRO IDIQ contract, includes one base year with options for six additional years. HII executive Andy Green emphasized the program's role in improving visibility and decision-making to address evolving threats in the region.
