SportsBarcelona winger Roony Bardghji, 20, has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture in his right knee, sidelining him for a prolonged period. The Swedish international, who made 28 first-team appearances last season, will undergo surgery in the coming days and could miss the majority of the upcoming 2026-27 season. This is his second serious knee injury, following a 334-day absence in 2024 while at Copenhagen. Bardghji, who scored two goals and registered four assists last campaign, was expected to leave on loan this summer due to limited playing time after the arrivals of Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon, but will now remain at Barcelona to use its recovery facilities. He was not included in Sweden's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
