AI-powered freight broker Fura announced the acquisition of High Rise Logistics, a Vancouver, Washington-based freight broker specializing in flatbed, expedited, truckload, LTL, intermodal, drayage, and warehousing services. The deal, the seventh for Fura, was for an undisclosed sum. High Rise's leadership will remain in place but will gain access to Fura's AI-powered bidding, carrier-sales, and shipment visibility platform. Fura's strategy involves consolidating the fragmented freight brokerage industry by migrating acquired companies onto a shared automation platform to improve efficiency and scale, rather than simply stacking businesses and inheriting overhead costs.
