Strasbourg officially announces loan signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Jörgensen with no buy option

Strasbourg has officially announced the loan signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen, with no buyout clause included in the deal. Jörgensen, born in Sweden in 2002, began his career at Villarreal's youth academy and made his first-team debut in December 2021. He became Villarreal's starting goalkeeper in the 2023-2024 season, making 37 appearances. He joined Chelsea in summer 2024, making 24 Premier League appearances and 36 across all competitions in his first season. He started 14 matches in the UEFA Conference League, helping Chelsea win the European title in 2025 and also the FIFA Club World Cup. Jörgensen made his debut for the Danish national team in June 2025 and has earned two caps. Strasbourg welcomed his arrival.
