Real Madrid have confirmed that Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior has signed a new long-term contract with the club, extending his stay until 2032. The 26-year-old reached an agreement following interest from Arsenal, who were prepared to launch an ambitious move if he chose not to renew. Madrid and Vinicius met on Wednesday to discuss his future, with a package proposed reflecting his importance to the club. Vinicius had to decide between renewing, entering free agency, or joining Arsenal. His decision adds stability to a summer of change at Madrid, which includes the return of coach Jose Mourinho and several new signings. Vinicius has made 375 appearances for Madrid since 2018, scoring 128 goals and providing 100 assists, winning three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies. Last season, he scored 22 goals as Madrid finished second in La Liga.
