SportsMohamed Salah, the 34-year-old Egypt captain, has signed a two-year contract with Turkish Süper Lig club Trabzonspor following his departure from Liverpool as a free agent at the end of the 2025-26 season. The deal, confirmed on August 6, 2026, includes an annual package of €17 million (€10m salary plus €7m signing-on fee) and entitles Salah to 20% of related merchandise sales. Salah ended a nine-year spell at Liverpool, where he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances and won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup. His final season at Anfield saw a downturn in form with seven league goals. Trabzonspor, which finished third in the Super Lig last season and won the Turkish Cup, will officially present Salah at their 41,000-capacity Papara Park stadium. Salah also started all five of Egypt's World Cup games this summer, reaching the round of 16.
