Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, who gained global fame during the World Cup, has been granted special permission by Chile's ANFP to display his nickname on his jersey when he joins Colo-Colo, requiring an amendment to league regulations that previously mandated only surnames. However, his arrival remains uncertain after visa issues and personal matters delayed his travel from an initial July 28 landing to a missed flight on July 30. Colo-Colo director Jaime Pizarro and coach Fernando Ortiz confirmed ongoing contact with the player's agent, but club president Aníbal Mosa acknowledged the contract has not yet been signed. The nickname clause was reportedly one of Vozinha's conditions for the deal. The 40-year-old has not publicly commented on the move.
