Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, and his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez, 32, are set to marry this weekend on Madeira Island, Portugal, where Ronaldo was born. The couple, who met in 2016 at a Gucci store, will hold the ceremony at Funchal Cathedral (capacity 800) followed by a reception at the five-star Savoy Palace Hotel. The hotel features six swimming pools, 24-hour butler service, a spa, and rooms starting at £1,100 per night. Ronaldo proposed last summer with a £3 million ring. The couple, with a combined net worth of $1.4 billion, reside in Saudi Arabia where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo had previously stated he wanted to marry after the World Cup, where Portugal was eliminated by Spain.
