TechARX Robotics UK successfully deployed eight GEREON uncrewed ground vehicles during Project Convergence Capstone 6, the U.S. Army's largest modernization experiment, held at Fort Irwin in California's Mojave Desert from July 20-29, 2026. The six-day exercise involved forces from the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand testing over 100 emerging technologies. The GEREON vehicles operated 24/7 alongside British soldiers, performing intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, counter-drone, logistics resupply, and casualty evacuation missions. The vehicles, capable of carrying 500 kg payloads and running 72 hours on battery, demonstrated resilience in extreme heat and rugged terrain. The exercise supports the British Army's 20-40-40 vision, which aims to shift combat power toward reusable autonomous systems and expendable drones, inspired by lessons from the Ukraine war.
