Bending Spoons acquires Airtable for $1.285 billion, a steep discount from $11 billion peak valuation

Italian unicorn Bending Spoons has agreed to acquire Airtable in an all-cash deal valuing the software company at $1.285 billion, a steep drop from its $11 billion valuation during the 2021 tech boom. The deal, which includes an equity value of about $2.25 billion when factoring in Airtable's cash, marks Bending Spoons' first acquisition since its Nasdaq listing in June. Airtable, which serves over 500,000 organizations including 80% of the Fortune 100, reported annual recurring revenue of approximately $480 million as of June, growing over 20% year-over-year. Bending Spoons, which posted 95% revenue growth to $1.31 billion in 2025, plans to apply its strategy of acquiring well-known but underpriced apps and cutting costs. The acquisition is expected to close by year-end pending regulatory approval.
