Raytheon installs first SPY-6(V)4 radar array at Wallops Island test site

Raytheon, an RTX business, has delivered and installed the first SPY-6(V)4 radar array at the Surface Combat Systems Center at Wallops Island, Virginia. This marks a major milestone as land-based testing commences ahead of the backfit deployment on the US Navy Flight IIA destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91). The SPY-6(V)4 is a variant of the advanced radar system designed to enhance the ship's air and missile defense capabilities.
