SportsRB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande will not join the club's pre-season training camp in Austria as negotiations with Real Madrid for his transfer continue. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international is reportedly absent due to illness, though his future is the subject of intense speculation. Real Madrid recently submitted an improved bid of €120 million (€100m fixed fee), while Leipzig is holding out for a price closer to their €130 million valuation. There is confidence on all sides that a deal will eventually be reached. Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Leganes a year ago, scored 12 goals and provided 9 assists in 33 Bundesliga matches last season. He also featured in all four of Ivory Coast's World Cup matches. If completed, the transfer would make Diomande Leipzig's record sale, surpassing the fees for Josko Gvardiol and Benjamin Sesko. Real Madrid, now under manager Jose Mourinho, have already signed several players this summer including Bernardo Silva and Rodri.
