Ter Stegen left Barcelona's training camp early last Friday and traveled to Amsterdam, where he completed his medical examination on Saturday. Ajax will cover 10% of his salary, while Barcelona pays the majority. The German goalkeeper, whose contract with Barcelona runs until 2028, will reunite with head coach Michel, who previously coached him at Girona. This marks Ter Stegen's second consecutive loan from Barcelona, following an injury-plagued stint at Girona where he made only two appearances. Ajax coach Michel confirmed the arrivals of Ter Stegen and midfielder Brandt, expressing optimism about their impact.
