SportsRB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande will not travel to the club's pre-season training camp in Austria as negotiations with Real Madrid over his transfer intensify. The Athletic reports that Madrid have submitted an improved bid of €120 million (€100m fixed fee), while Leipzig are holding out for a price closer to their €130m valuation. Despite Leipzig's official stance that Diomande is ill and his absence is unrelated to his future, there is confidence on all sides that a deal will be finalized. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international, who joined Leipzig from Leganes a year ago, scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 33 Bundesliga matches last season. A transfer would make Diomande Leipzig's record sale, surpassing the fees for Benjamin Sekso and Josko Gvardiol. Madrid, now under manager Jose Mourinho, have already signed Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella, and Carlos Espi this summer.
