According to The Sun, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is set to marry his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez on August 8th on Madeira Island, Portugal, where he was born and raised. The wedding will take place at the cathedral in Funchal, the capital, with a reception at the five-star Savoy Palace hotel. Hotel guests have been notified of closures on two floors and several bar areas on Friday and Saturday. Ronaldo, 41, currently playing in Saudi Arabia, met Georgina, 32, in 2016 and proposed last August. The couple was recently photographed wearing diamond rings on a yacht in Mallorca. Ronaldo had previously stated he hoped to marry after the World Cup, but Portugal was eliminated by eventual champions Spain. He told Piers Morgan that Georgina is the only woman who made him want to settle down.
