According to ABC journalist Angel 'Cazurreando' Garcia, Real Madrid youth goalkeeper Fran González is nearing a transfer to Sevilla. The 22-year-old will sign a five-year contract, with both clubs holding 50% ownership of the player throughout the contract period, a format Real Madrid has commonly used in recent youth academy transfers. The journalist first reported Sevilla's interest on June 18, and the deal accelerated significantly on July 24. Other clubs including Espanyol and Celta had also shown interest in the León-born goalkeeper. The transfer is now close to completion.
