British football journalist Ben Jacobs reported on social media that former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson will officially sign with Chelsea today, completing a free transfer after leaving Brentford. Henderson had previously negotiated a contract termination with Brentford on July 29 to clear the way for the move. Multiple media outlets, including football journalist Fabrizio Romano, had earlier reported that Henderson was about to join Chelsea. The 34-year-old midfielder, who left Liverpool in 2023, will now return to the Premier League with Chelsea.
